Project Highlight: 1122 W. Chicago

1122 W. Chicago Avenue is located in the River West neighborhood of Chicago. The 97,000 square-foot space will include 97 luxury apartments, a two-story parking garage, and 21,900 square feet of commercial space. Amenities such as a fitness center and two rooftop patios are included in this $33 million development in a growing neighborhood.
The Timberless-44 system and load bearing structural wall panels allowed the installers to erect the cold-formed steel frame on schedule despite the tight laydown area. Just in time deliveries and crew consolidations are essential during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Timberless-44 system will be constructed with 12 men or less, making it the optimal solution for the unprecedented circumstances.
The Timberless-44 System will ultimately provide significant cost savings by compressing the construction timeline, saving costs on the foundation, reducing long-term insurance costs and shortening the time-frame scaffolding and cranes needing to be on-site.
The project was completed in August of 2021. It stands 7 stories and a Penthouse and features 21,000 SF of Timberless-44.
